Our Story

I have always enjoyed the art of making cookies - there’s something special about a few humble ingredients turning into something spectacular. So many fond memories were made in the kitchen as a kid and I find so much joy in that space today!

Many of my fondest memories of my grandmother, Mrs. Libby Taylor, are around a table with cookies and icing. We would decorate Santa cookies each Christmas and she’d assign each of the children a part to do: the boots, the hat, the sack (I always wanted to ice the fur on his boots!). She affectionately called me “Emma Lou” and always seemed to sing it a little when she said it, like a happy tune. She was a truly lovely woman, and I’m thankful to carry on her name and our tradition through Libby & Lou Cookie Co.
